The Manager: ICT is a senior management position in the company taking responsibility for the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) department, a service function to the company in respect of all IT infrastructure for company operations.
Line management of the ICT team
Formulation and implementation of an annual ICT Strategy/Plan and associated budget
Interact with company management regarding Interfront’ s technology platforms with the view to better equip or optimize the ways in which ICT delivers services to the company and/or clients
Manage ICT operations and participate hands-on in providing the following services:
Service-level management (Availability and Capacity management, IT service continuity management and Information security management)
Service transition management (Change management, Service asset and configuration management and Release and deployment management)
Service operation management (Event and incident management, access management, request tracking and fulfilment)
Manage and support IT Policy and procedure development in the organization
Manage IT Security/Cybersecurity and incident response operations
Project management of ICT projects
Support the organisation’s Business continuity initiatives and operations
Actively carry through the ICT governance policies and procedures in place to provide good stewardship in the organisation and to apply the company’s ICT resources effectively
Manage and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the ICT department in all spheres e.g. monitoring, IT continuity, change management, etc.
Ensure smooth operation of the ICT Service desk to ensure SLA targets are met and escalations are handled efficiently.
Relevant qualifications and certifications in IT
At least 5 years’ experience as team leader/manager in an IT corporate environment
Knowledge of ICT technologies such as, storage, networking, virtualization, firewalling, and antimalware/antivirus, messaging platforms, VPN, open source technologies, Server technologies (Linux, Windows) backup and replication.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as intrusion detection, prevention and hacking countermeasures.
Knowledge of the following technologies are advantageous:
Software Build Automation e.g. Maven, Jenkins, Nexus
ICT/Devops Automation e.g. puppet, ansible
Monitoring e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss
Source control management e.g. Git, Subversion
Service Desk/Issue Management – Jira Service Desk
Leadership and people management abilities – manage, coordinate, monitor, mentor, coach
Self-starter and self-motivated
Team and people orientated
Organised, structured and attention to detail.
Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

Any User who commits any of the offences detailed in section 85 to 88 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, No. 25 of 2002 (“the ECT Act”) shall, notwithstanding criminal prosecution, be liable for all resulting liability, loss or
damages suffered and / or incurred by Interfront.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Subject to the provisions of sections 43(5) and 43(6) of the ECT Act, if applicable, and as far as allowed by law, Interfront (including its shareholder, employees, suppliers, Internet service provider, partners, affiliates and agent(s) shall not be
liable for any damage, loss or liability of any nature incurred by whomever and resulting from:
Access to the Interfront website;
Access to websites linked to Interfront website;
Inability to access Interfront’s website;
Content available on the Interfront website;
Services available from the Interfront website;
Downloads and use of content on the Interfront website;
Any other reason.
The Interfront website is supplied on an “as is” basis and has not been compiled to meet the User’s individual requirements. It is the responsibility of the User to satisfy himself or herself, that the content available from and through the

Interception of communications
Subject to the Regulations of Interception of Communications (RIC) Act, No.70 of 2002, the User agrees to Interfront’s right to intercept, block, filter, read, delete, disclose and use all communications send or posted by the User to the
Interfront website, its staff and employees.
The User agrees and acknowledges that the consent provided by the User as set out above satisfies the “writing” requirement as detailed in the ECT Act and the RIC Act.
Entire agreement and severability
from the User.
Any failure by Interfront to exercise or enforce any right or provision shall in no way constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
remaining terms and conditions shall remain enforceable and applicable.
Agreement in terms of part 2 (Communication of data messages) of the ECT Act
The User and Interfront agree that:
every time after that. Data messages addressed by the User to Interfront shall only be deemed to have been received if and when responded to and /or receipt is acknowledged.
Data messages addressed to the User by Interfront shall be deemed to be received by the User as detailed in section 23(b) of the ECT Act.
Data messages addressed by the User to Interfront shall be deemed to have been created and send by the User from within the geographical boundaries of South Africa
All electronic communications between the User and Interfront is valid and binding regardless of whether security mechanisms are applied or not(e.g. electronic signature and encryption.)
The User agrees and warrants that Data messages that are sent to Interfront from a computer, IP address or mobile device normally used by or owned by the User, was sent and/or authorised by the User personally. Applicable and governing law
The Interfront website is hosted, controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa therefore the South African law enforced by the South African courts governs the use or inability to use the Interfront website, its content, services and
these terms and conditions.
